When I was born in Buenos Aires in 1975 my old man welcomed me with hope that I’d be the next big football star. After disappointing him, I found myself graduating with a degree in filmmaking. Around the same time I began to work in post production.
Europe opened it’s gates to me when I moved to Madrid in 2001. I was selected for and participated in the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2004 -something like a recover-hope-in-filmmaking energy boost where I learned a lot- and almost danced with Cate Blanchett (too shy… me not her).
After that, I directed my first feature documentary: “Seeds” focused on Franco’s repression after Spanish Civil War.
When I’m not working I spend my time traveling, writing, filming without clients, experimenting with design and cooking.
Cuando nací en Buenos Aires en 1975, mi viejo me recibió con la esperanza de que fuese un crack del fútbol. Después de desilusionarlo, me metí en la Universidad, graduándome en dirección. Para esa misma época, comencé a trabajar en postproducción.
En 2001 me mudé a Madrid y en 2004 participé en la Berlinale Talent Campus, algo así como un chute de “recuperar-la-esperanza-en-el-quehacer-cinematográfico”, donde aprendí un montón y casi bailo con Cate Blanchett (si no fuese por mi timidez…)
Unos meses después realicé mi primer largo documental (o documental largo?): “Semillas”, sobre la represión franquista al finalizar la Guerra Civil.
Cuando no laburo, paso el tiempo viajando, escribiendo, filmando (sin clientes), probando nuevos diseños y nuevas recetas (de cocina).
